Silver worth over Rs 1 crore seized

Acting on a tip-off, the team intercepted the taxi on G T Road yesterday and recovered two quintals of the precious metal, they said.

Upon questioning, the driver of the vehicle failed to furnish required papers, they said, adding that the vehicle has been traced to Allahabad and further investigations are on.
