Six drowned, one missing in Bihar boat capsize

The mishap took place as the boat lost control midway in the river where six of its passengers were drowned and another person went missing, Chausa police station house officer Suman Kumar said.

The remaining occupants of the boat swam to safety, Kumar said.

The bodies have been fished out and sent for postmortem, he said, adding, efforts were on to find out the missing person, the SHO said.

Those riding the boat were members of a marriage party and were going to the other side of the river, Kumar said.
