Six killed in separate road mishaps

A van carrying six passengers collided head-on with a truck in Chittorgarh district leaving three persons dead.

The victims were going to Udaipur from Madhya Pradesh to donate blood for their hospitalised relative when the truck hit the van, they said.

Moments before this mishap, a pedestrian identified as Rajmal was hit by a vehicle. He died on the spot and the body was lying on the road. The truck in a bid to avoid crushing the body went wrong side and hit the van, police said, adding, the condition of the injured was stated to be stable.

Prahlad Singh, Nanalal and Ishawar Lal died on the spot.

In another road accident in Jhunjhunu district, two men were killed when a speeding jeep hit their tractor-trolley near Ratanser.

The deceased were identified as Kanaram and Sintu, they said, adding that one person was injured in the mishap.
