A technical snag in an Air Asia plane left Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stranded at Birsa Munda airport here for some hours. Air Asia's Delhi-bound flight i5 549 from Kolkata via Ranchi was scheduled to depart from here at 5.20 pm but a technical glitch led to a delay. The flight took off from Kolkata at 3.50 pm but "encountered a technical glitch after take off", according to Air Asia. Sources said Kumar later took another flight to Delhi. The airline did not share the number of passengers on board. "Our team is putting in their best efforts to take care of guests at the airport while we work towards resolving the issue at the earliest," said Air Asia in a statement.
