Singer-songwriter Amy Lee said she had a tough time trying to get her songs featured in films.
The 35-year-old songstress, who has written a song for the upcoming mystery-drama, "Voice from the Stone" starring Emilia Clarke in the lead, said success in films did not come easy until recently, reported FemaleFirst.
"I felt like movie song writing was a very hard wall to knock down. I've been trying to write music for film for sometime and it's very difficult.
"I've been trying for a long time. I've written for many many a film and the song didn't get used. But it's happening more for me now," Lee said.
The Evanescence vocalist is also working with her band on their new project titled 'Synthesis' that features an orchestra.
