Tata Motors will showcase an all new T1 Prima race truck, powered by 1,000 bhp engine, during the fourth season of the T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship.
The engine of the all-new 1,000 bhp T1 race truck is being developed in collaboration with US-based Cummins Inc, enabling the company to set new benchmarks in the Indian commercial vehicles space, Tata Motors said in a statement.
"Built with specifications similar to that of trucks that race globally, the vehicle was developed in a record time of 12 months - a demonstration of teamwork, speed and capability," Tata Motors Executive Director - Commercial Vehicles Ravindra Pisharody said.
Tata Motors and Cummins have a joint venture company called Tata Cummins established in 1994 developing engines in the range of 75 to 400 HP.
The fourth edition of T1 Prima Truck Racing championship will be held on March 19 at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), Greater Noida.
