TCS Foundation to restore IIM-A library with Rs 20 cr grant

(TCS) Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of the IT services major, has partnered to restore the Library using a Rs 20 crore grant.

Located at IIM-A's Louis Kahn Plaza, the library will be renovated into a future-ready knowledge hub for digital learning and collaboration, said in a statement.

Foundation, engaged in promoting and funding projects and programmes under corporate social responsibility, will support this project with funding of Rs 20 crore.

The restoration and upgradation of Library is expected to be completed by 2018, it said.

There will be an emphasis on digital collections, while print collections will retain their importance to the library.

Open and flexible spaces will be provided to create an environment of collaboration among students, academics and visitors.
