Three drown as boat capsizes

drowned when their boat capsized in the river Ganga in Nanupur village here, police said today.

Munna Pandey (40) was returning to his village with his sons Satish (18) and Dileep (20) after attending a marriage ceremony when the incident took place, they said.

While the boatman swam to safety, the three drowned.

Their bodies were later fished out by villagers. PTI CORR ABN PG
