Three persons murdered in separate incidents

Three persons including a woman were murdered in separate incidents in and around the steel city, police said today..

A 55-year-old manager of Parvati Ghat (crematorium) Sarbojit Sarkar was today murdered in the crematorium premises under Jugsalai police station, Officer-in-charge of the police station, Laxman Prasad said.

Goud, who was also an employee of the crematorium but was removed by the Sarkar about a year ago, slit the throat of Sarkar with a razor, injuring him fatally, he said.

Sarkar was rushed to the hospital but doctors declared him dead, he said adding that Goud has been arrested.

In an another incident, an unidentified body was today recovered from near Dimna lake under Bodam police station here, police sources said.

The identity of the body has not yet been established but it was being suspected that the youth was murdered last night and dumped near the lake to conceal evidences.

The morning walkers at the lake spotted the body dumped in bushes and informed the police, sources said.

A 26-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her husband following an altercation over a petty issue in Tamolia under Kapali police station of adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district, police said.

The couple had quarrelled over a petty issue on Friday when an enraged accused Padmalochan Singh picked up a iron pan and attacked his wife Lakhi Singh.

Police said Padmalochan has been arrested.
