Tight security at CoP 11 meet in October

"As many as 10,138 police personnel of AP Police, including 1,353 from Cyberabad Police, will be deployed for the forthcoming bio-diversity meet," Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kukatpally Division) M Malla Reddy said.
Around 10,000 participants representing 200 nations, including around 100 environment ministers and various high-profile dignitaries, are likely to attend the conference.
Cyberabad Police personnel and others, drawn from various districts of Andhra Pradesh, will be deployed along with para military forces for the protection of the delegates (during their stay as well as their travel), Reddy said.
They will escort the vehicles, guard the routes leading to the venue, carry out vehicle checks and will be posted on bandobast duty, he said.
However, a team of United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), which has already arrived in the city and held discussions with officials of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, will take charge of the main venue.

They will also ensure security detailing at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) with the help of local police.
Presidents and Prime Ministers from various countries will also attend the crucial meet.
For the purpose of strong security, personnel from National Security Guard, Organisation for Counter Terrorists Operations (OCTOPUS), the elite anti-terror commando unit of AP Police, Rapid Action Force and Greyhounds (AP's elite anti-naxalite force) would be deployed as well.
A CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) team has also arrived in the city.
