Two commit suicide in separate incidents in UP

In separate incidents in the district, two persons allegedly committed suicide, one of them setting himself ablaze, over family issues, police said today.

A 26-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by setting himself ablaze over a family dispute at Tulsi village here, they said.

Sosan Singh was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead by doctors yesterday, police said, adding the matter is being investigated.

In another incident, a 17-year-old boy in Bhawani village allegedly committed suicide over similar reasons, police said.

His body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room yesterday. The boy's parents, who are out-of-station, have been informed about the matter, they said.

Meanwhile, two persons, in separate incidents, allegedly tried to commit suicide by consuming poison, police said.

Sahib Ali (26) from Firozabad village and Sanjiv (35) from Rampur village were hospitalised yesterday, they said, adding their close ones have claimed family issues led to them take the extreme step.
