Two killed in motorcycle-autorickshaw collision

Two persons were killed and as many injured after a motorcycle and a three- wheeler collided head on at a village near here, police said today.

The mishap occurred last evening when the motorcycle was hit by an autorickshaw traversing from opposite direction at Gagillapur village under Bejjenki police limits, nearly 35 kms from here, Bejjenki police station sub-inpector Abhilash said.



The driver of the two-wheeler N Sahith (21), a native of Godavarikhani town in Peddapalli, died on the spot while the autoriskshaw, carrying labourers, turned turtle due to the collision.

K Venkatamma (44), who was travelling in the three- wheeler, sustained grievous injuries and succumbed while under going treatment at a hospital late last night, the SI said.

Two more persons who received injuries were admitted to a nearby hospital.

A case has been registered and bodies were to Karimnagar district headquarters hospital for post mortem, the officer said.
