Two Sambar deers die in Dindigul district

Two four to five-year-old male Sambar deers died at different places in the district today, a forest department official said.

While one of them died in Tenmalai, after it allegedly slipped and fell while negotiating a rock, another deer fell into a well, when it came in search of water near Kodai road, District Forest Officer Venkatesh said.



The bodies of the deers had been sent for post mortem, he said.
