Two teenaged girls, allegedly sold for Rs 1,200, found: Police

Two teenaged girls, who were allegedly brought for sale to the Lalitpur district were found today and two persons have been arrested in this connection, the police said here.

The girls aged 15 and 19 years were brought for sale in Lalitpur and were found by the police in Panari village, officials claimed.

A woman identified as Komal and a man named Ramesh have been arrested in this regard.

During interrogation, the duo told the police that one of the girls belonged to while the other was from Bihar, the police said. The girls were labourers.

The girls came in contact with a woman, who sold them to three persons for Rs 1,200 and this group brought them to Lalitpur and planned to sell them further, police officials claimed.

Search is on for the third accused, the police said.
