Union ministers meet J&K Governor, CM

Union ministers and Hansraj Ahir Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister separately here today and assured the state of all-out support from the Centre in maintaining and order.

Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Singh and Minister of State for Home Affairs Ahir, part of a central delegation visiting to assess security measures for Amarnath pilgrims in the wake of a terrorist attack, called on the chief minister at her residence here this evening, an official spokesman said.

The spokesman said they also discussed ways to more effectively deal with militant activities and ensure safety of all those who visit the state.

Vohra stressed the need for all communities to maintain peace and harmony in all the regions of the state, the spokesman said.
