Press Trust of India  |  Kota (Raj)

A 24-year-old woman was found dead with her throat slit at her home in Barda Basti here today following which her husband was booked for allegedly murdering her.

The woman's parents lodged a complaint alleging that their daughter was killed by her husband whom she married four years ago. The couple had two children, Kunhadi Circle Officer Sri Chand said.

Tammana Bano's body was found from her room in the morning. Her throat was slit from a sharp-edged weapon, he said.

The official said that the couple reportedly had a strained relationship.

The husband and one of the children have been missing since the incident. A case under section 302 (murder) has been registered against him, however no arrest has been made in this connection.

The body was handed over to the family members after post mortem in the afternoon, Chand said, adding investigation is underway.
