The body of a woman stuffed inside a gunny bag was retrieved today from a roadside swampy land at Hindulia village under Marshaghai police station area of Kendrapara district, police said. The deceased has been identified as Mamini Mallik (25) and the body has been sent for post mortem. Prelimnary investigation has found it to be a case of murder, police said adding, the body bore injury marks on the neck. She might have been strangulated to death, said Sub Divisional Police Officer, Kedarnath Sahu. "Though no complaint has been lodged so far by the deceaseds family, we have detained the father-in-law, mother-in-law and sister-in-law of the victim over their suspected role in the murder. They are being interrogated," Sahu said. The spouse of the deceased is absconding, he added.
