Youth convicted in 2013 eye witness murder case

A juvenile here has convicted a youth for killing an eyewitness outside a sessions in 2013.

The court, however, yesterday ordered the release of the now 20-year-old youth as he had already served the maximum punishment of three years in a correction home, for the crime.


The delinquent was held guilty under Section 302 (murder) of for shooting dead former gram pradhan Devender, who was an eyewitness in a case, outside the sessions here on July 11, 2013.

The police had registered a case against five persons including the youth in this connection. The remaining four accused are being tried in another

One of the accused in the case has also been booked in connection with the of gangster Vicky Tyagi, who was shot dead in a room in the district on Feb 16, 2015.
