Youth stabbed to death in Delhi

Press Trust of India

An 18-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed to death over some dispute in west Delhi's Nihal Vihar area.

Salauddin was stabbed multiple times allegedly by a youth of the same age (as him) and who was known to him.

The incident took place after Salauddin asked for a girl's mobile number, whom the accused also liked. Police said that the accused has been identified but is absconding.

"Police teams are searching for the accused. He stabbed the youth several times in a secluded area after calling him through a common friend. A case has been registered at Nihal Vihar police station," said DCP (West) Vijay Kumar.

Yesterday evening, Salauddin went out with a friend, and returned home soon. Later, he got a call from another friend who asked him to meet him. Salauddin left home and did not return for a long time.

Thereafter, a friend saw Salauddin lying in a pool of blood and took him to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said.
