BOC India Limited, a member of The Linde Group, has posted a 24 per cent drop in net profit for the second quarter of the 2012 to Rs 20.3 crore, compared to Rs 27 crore during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the firm’s net sales for the period under review zoomed 39 per cent to Rs 342.4 crore, as against Rs 247 crore during the second quarter of 2011.

The Gases business recorded a sales growth of 15 percent over the corresponding period last year. The turnover of the Project Engineering Division during the quarter grew by 71 percent compared to the previous year quarter due to new projects, the company said in a statement.
