Temporary staffing has seen a surge this year, with Information (IT) sector contributing to the growth seen in temp staffing this year.

Kamal Karanth, MD, Kelly Services India, said with witnessing maximum pressure in terms of growth, it is looking for de-mobilisation and mobilisation opportunities. IT sector has seen a maximum growth in temp staffing.

According to Kamal, there has been 25 per cent growth in temp staffing in this year compared to five to six per cent growth in the FMCG sector.

FMCG followed by telecom sector are generally considered to be major spender for temp staffing in India.
