Aditya Exports Ltd. (ADITYAEXPORTS) - Company History

Incorporated in Jul.'87 as a private limited company, Aditya Exports was converted into a public limited company in Nov.'90. The company is engaged in bulk export operations since 1989. It entered the capital market in May '91. The company is promoted by Chandramouli Reddy, Pattabhirama Reddy, Sridhar and G V M Krishna. Helm, Hamburg; and Marcel Quarre, Paris; are among its major buyers in Europe. The company's bulk exports division is headed by a team of professionals with adequate experience in exports and wide international contacts. It also exports software which involves both off-shore/onsite software products. The company exports to the US, Europe, east Asia and west Asia. In 1991, the company entered new fields -- bulk exports of commodities like rice, tea, sugar, oil, tobacco, chemicals, cement, garments and textiles. In order to augment the long-term working capital and to enable its bulk exports division to operate at optimum level, the company came out with a rights issue in Feb.'93. The company has tied up with Samsung Corporation for setting up a 100% EOU to manufacture 15.5 mln blood bags, commercial production of which is set to commence in 1997-98. There is also a buy-back agreement for this project. The company has floated Aditya Agriflora for setting up a 4.5 hectare floriculture unit for growing and exporting roses. Land has been purchased near Bangalore for this purpose. During the financial year 1995-96 the company has earned Rs.0.80 crores on account of exports.The company's Bulk Commodities Division has further achieved a major breakthrough by securing a regular,revolving order for the export of rice during the year.
