Incorporated in Nov.'93, NEPC Textiles was jointly promoted by Ravi Prakash Khemka and Rattan Kumar Khemka and belongs to the NEPC group. The company produces cotton yarn of various counts. Its yarn will be marketed under the Trupthi brand. It markets directly to the customers at Tirupur which is the major export centre of knitted hosiery products.
The major processes involved in spinning of cotton yarn are laying and mixing, blow-room operations, carding, combing, drawing, spinning and winding.
The company came out with a public issue in Sep.'94 to finance the installation of 24,584 spindles.
Due to delayed availability of power, full capacity utilisation could not be achieved. Demand for hosiery yarn outside Tamilnadu is also picking up and the company expects to achieve higher sales in 1995-96.
In the year 1995-96 the company has been awarded ISO 9002 certificate.The company couldn't achieve the projections it has made, due to the sluggishness in the industry.
