What do you make of Kiran Kumar Reddy's resignation over the Telangana issue?

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has put in his papers in an apparent sign that he is disappointed over the imminent division of the state. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who has also quit the Congress, comes from a family that is a known loyalist of party, having served the high command for years. Under the circumstances, has Reddy gambled away his political future, or is there more to his resignation than meets the eye? Do share your views with us.
