Tata Steel workers hail Corus deal
Workers of Indian steel major Tata Steel on Saturday hailed the addition of Anglo-Dutch firm Corus Group to their company with a $8.04 billion takeover bid to become the world's fifth-largest steelmaker.
The deal, India's largest-ever foreign takeover, extends a wave of consolidation in the fragmented steel sector, and follows Mittal Steel's $32 billion acquisition of rival Arcelor this year.
