The global knowledge processing outsourcing (KPO) business, currently worth $2 billion, is projected to reach $16 - 17 billion in the next five years.
India’s KPO sector is likely to corner more than two-third of this or $12 billion, according to a White Paper by employment services firm Kelly Services.
But the paper also warns that there are hurdles— a shortage of knowledge workers, data and intellectual property security, and lack of infrastructure.
