Replying to queries from Business Standard on Wednesday at Hubli airport, Yeddyurappa, who was on his way to New Delhi, expressed confidence that the present crisis in the party would end soon and stood his ground saying there was no question of a change of leadership in the state.

He said he would meet the party’s national leaders in Delhi and hold discussions with them. He would also have discussion with Janardan Reddy. When asked what formula he had placed before the high command the CM said it depended on the demands of the detractors.

The chief minister said he would address a public meeting at Hubli on November 7 and would explain to the people the steps taken by him to develop North Karnataka.

He said he had decided to give Jagadeesh Shettar a cabinet berth with an important portfolio but there had been some delay due to inevitable circumstances.

The CM who arrived in Hubli in a chopper from Arahatti village in Navalgund taluk after laying the foundation stone for relocation of two flood-hit villages left for New Delhi by a special plane along with home minister Dr V S Acharya, industries minister Murugesh Nirani and principle secretary V P Baligar.
