Acting on a tip off, Special Task Force (STF) yesterday arrested five people from a hotel in Hazratganj area of the city for allegedly selling question papers and solved answer sheets.

They were identified as Nand Kumar, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Ajit Kumar (all from Bihar) and Om Prakash, they said.

Four more persons were nabbed from an examination centre in Thakurganj area for alleged impersonation.

However, it was later revealed that the question paper being supplied by the gang members were bogus as it did not match with those circulated during examination, they added.

Two separate FIRs have been lodged in this connection. Nearly 10,000 aspirants appeared in the RRB examination conducted by Gorakhpur Railway Recruitment Board held at different centres here yesterday.
