A search is on for RJD candidate for the Jharkhand Assembly polls, Ramchandra Singh, who along with an aide was abducted last night by suspected Naxalites in Latehar district.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Sashinath Jha and Superintendent of Police Kuldip Diwedi were overseeing the search operation, police said today.
Singh, an MLA in the just dissolved Jharkhand assembly and his aide, was returning from a function last night when suspected Naxalites intercepted his car and kidnapped Singh and some of his supporters in Dhanukua village.
The abductors let off five of his supporters midway. Inspector General of Police, Rezi Dung Dung, had last night claimed that the police had information that the duo was also let off and that the police were trying to establish contact with them.
Singh was one of the RJD MLAs who had represented the Jharkhand assembly from 2005 to till its dissolution on November 1.He has been re-nominated for Maneka seat.
At Present Govt recognising unemployed only and only if they take wepons on hand make agitation like Maoists. Now Chidambaram giving statements asking Maoists to laydown wepons and come for discussions, unfortunately he can't see many unemployed youth who have not taken wepons till now to discuss their issues.
If that is our constitution says better to scrap it.
