Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Ltd. (Arcil) today announced the appointment of Abhijit Datta as the Chairman of its Board of Directors in place of N. Vaghul, who stepped down in April, 2009.

Datta represents State Bank of India (SBI), one of the Sponsors of Arcil with a shareholding of 19.95 per cent and recently retired from SBI as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) & Group Executive - Mid Corporate Group after a career spanning three decades.
