CPM general secretary Prakash Karat today softened his stand and said his party will take a decision on supporting the Congress-led government "after May 16".    

"Let the elections be over first. Let the results come. After May 16 we will think," Karat told reporters during a brief meet at airport here.      Karat, who was here to campaign for CPM candidates, was specifically asked to comment on Congress courting support of the Left.
