As a part of its third anniversary celebrations, low-cost carrier Air Deccan has announced that it will be selling 3 lakh air tickets at Rs 3 (plus taxes & surcharge) for travel in the next 3 months. Booking for this special scheme opens tomorrow.
Capt Gopinath, MD of Air Deccan, said: “The ‘3 for 3’ offer is in celebration of our third anniversary on 23 August amongst the host of schemes that are currently on. These special offers are part of our strategy to encourage and enable more people especially non-air travelers to take to the skies.”
“We have taken stock of the past three years and realized that a major concern for our passengers has been our on-time performance. Air Deccan has recorded 98.42% on-time performance (within 1 hour) as of July 2006 and we will make sure that we perform consistently," Gopinath said.
Air Deccan, with a marketshare of 21.2% (June 2006), has the largest network in India today covering 55 airports and operates 270 flights daily.
