Aircel, a leading mobile phone service provider company and market leader in southern states and the North-East with more than 4.5 million customers, has announced the launch of its pre-paid service in Kashmir.
This pre-paid service of the company was formally launched by Rohit Chandra, chief executive officer, North and East Zone, Aircel Ltd today. Several senior Company officials, some political leaders, bureaucrats and leading businessmen and industrialists were present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Chandra announced that Aircel will cover more than 150 towns and over 1500 kms of National and State Highways in the initial phase in Jammu and Kashmir besides opening over 200 retail outlets and offering 10000 lifetime pre-paid connections bundled with handsets.
Chandra said Aircel had obtained 14new licenses to roll out its GSM cellular services besides getting the license to provide international long distance (ILD) and national long distance (NLD) telephony services.
With this, the Company is all set to transform itself into a pan-India-operator, he said.
