Amit Dey joins Axis APM as CEO

OnMobile's ex-Head of Sales Europe & Americas aims to take the company to next level

Axis APM, a pioneer in providing personal media services in India, has appointed Amit Dey as the Chief Executive Officer. Coming into the company with a telecom background, Mr. Dey’s major focus would be to bring new trends in the company along with overseeing business development.

Amit began his career in 1990 with Tata Motors as a trainee and then moved to Siemens. A Post Graduate from IIM Kolkata, Amit joined OnMobile in 2000, an Infosys incubated mobile services startup. During his stay at OnMobile he helped it grow into a multi-million dollar business from scratch partnering with all national telecom operators in India in VAS. He also identified and built new business with International operators.

Amit has created several products and solutions for telecom operators like Ringback Tone (which turned around fortune of the company and redefined the MVAS industry). He has a wide range of experience with International telecom operators covering BRIC countries as well developed countries in Europe.

On his appointment Mr. Pradeep Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, Axis APM said “At Axis APM, we put our people first. Amit comes to us with proven expertise in 'business development and team building', innovation, system orientation and development. On his appointment as Chief Executive Officer, Amit Dey stated, “I am glad to be associated with Axis APM. As the personalized media category is new, my aim would be to establish it in the industry, deliver the value and also bring more interactivity.”

Axis APM is a pioneer in personalized mass media and already has a solid customer base across India. In all it has reach to more than 14 cr households.

Headquartered in Mumbai, Axis has now offices in Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Kolkata to service clients.
