Another movie premiere on Airtel digital TV
Announcement / Corporate Oct 28, 2009, 20:23 IST

Govinda-starrer Do Knot Disturb on PPV from October 29 for only Rs 50

Airtel digital TV - the DTH service from Bharti Airtel – today announced the television premiere of the Govinda-starrer Do Knot Disturb on its PPV service from Thursday, October 29 at Rs. 50 only. This comes within just four weeks of the film’s theatrical release. Customers can order the film by visiting the website www.airtel.in/digitaltv or SMSing the Movie Code to 54325 or SMSing START to 54325 from their registered mobile number. Airtel’s PPV service has been consistently showcasing the most recent Bollywood titles for its customers, like Main aur Mrs. Khanna, What’s your rashee?, Kaminey to name a few.

Directed by comedy king David Dhawan, Do Knot Disturb is a laugh-riot based on a rich businessman Raj (played by Govinda) who wants to keep his affair with girlfriend Dolly (played by Lara Dutta) secret from his wife Kiran (played by Sushmita Sen). Raj seeks help from Govardhan (Ritesh Deshmukh) to hide his extra-marital affair from his wife and bribes him to pretend as Dolly’s lover... leading to confusion, twists and turns!

Airtel digital TV – the DTH service from Bharti Airtel – is the sole national level DTH service in the country which offers its customers MPEG 4 with DVBS 2 – currently the most advanced digital broadcasting technologies available in the world after HD broadcasting. These two technologies combine the benefits of higher compression with better performance under low signal strength, which enables us to deliver a distinctly clearer picture on our customer’s TV in comparison to any other comparable broadcasting technology. Additionally, Airtel digital TV brings many firsts to the DTH segment in India including a Universal Remote which operates both the Set Top Box and TV set as well as Interactive Applications which give customers the freedom to book movie tickets, travel package and shop for branded products, among others. Users can also access city-specific news and update themselves on the latest stock news. We are also the only one to offer our customers the pleasure of listening to ad-free Worldspace Satellite radio. All this is backed by 24x7 customer care.
