State-owned power generator Andhra Pradesh Generation Corporation (APGenco) on Wednesday entered into a long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with discoms for sale of power generated by its units.
The PPA covers five thermal stations – Dr Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Station, Kothagudem Thermal Power Station O&M and Stage V, Rayalaseema Thermal Power Project and Ramagundam Thermal Station – producing 2,962.5 Mw. It also covers 14 hydro stations of Srisailam, Nagarjunasagar and Sileru complexes producing 3586 Mw.
The agreement also covers new thermal power projects under development including Rayalaseema Stage-II (420 Mw), Dr Narla Tata Rao (500 Mw), Kakatiya Stage-I (500 Mw), Rayalaseema Stage-III (210 Mw) and Kothagudem Stage-VI (500 Mw).
