"We will bid for any and every airport that is open for bidding in India," ARINC Vice-President Randy Pizzi said.

Announcing that ARINC had been awarded the project for the new international terminal at IGI Airport or T3, he said ARINC would deploy over 500 multi-user system environment (vMUSE) for passenger processing local departure control system and baggage management system, which would totally automate all these processes.

In terms of area, T3 would be the second largest terminal in the world after the one at the Beijing airport.

ARINC is also working with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for installing check-in systems at three points on the Airport Express route which is under construction, said ARINC's India Manager Guruprasad Rao.

Once the Airport Express metro service is launched, a passenger can check-in at the three stations with his or her baggage taken care of there itself instead of the airport.
