Asian markets end in green; Hang Seng surges

The Asian markets have ended in the green today.

The Hang Seng surged 378 points (1.7%) to 22,208. The Nikkei was up 20 points to 9,809.

The Straits Times rallied 59 points (2%) to 2,689. The Taiwan Weighted gained 74 points (1%) to 7,537.

The Shanghai Composite and the Seoul Composite were almost unchanged at 3,176 and 1,577, respectively.

The Hang Seng has advanced 234 points or 1% to 22,064.

The Nikkei has added 35 points at 9,824.

The Straits Times has added 37 points or 1.5% to 2,666. The Seoul Composite and the Taiwan Weighted Index are up over 0.5% each at 1,581 and 7,537, respectively.

The Asian markets have opened on a positive note. The Hang Seng has soared 280 points or 1% to 22,110. The Nikkei is up marginally at 9,797.

The Shanghai Composite Index is up two points at 3,166.

The Straits Times has added 36 points or 1% at 2,666 and the Taiwan Weighted Index has increased 74 points or 1% to 7,537.

The Seoul Composite Index has moved up 16 points or 1% at 1,588.
