Asian markets end positive; Nikkei flat

Asian markets ended mostly up today. The Nikkei ended at 9,940 - down 19 points. 

China's manufacturing sector' recovery helped the SHanghai Composite to gain 49 points (1.6%) to 3,008. The Taiwan Weighted surged 147 points (2.3%) to 6,579.

The Seoul Composite and the Straits Times were marginally up. While the former added 22 points (1.5%) to 1,412, the latter moved up 15 points to 2,348.

The Asian markets are now in green

The Nikkei has advanced 112 points to 10,071.

The Shanghai Composite has added 33 points to 2,993.

The Taiwan Weighted Index has gained 145 points (2.26%) at 6,577.

The Seoul Composite is up 23 points (1.5) at 1,413 and Straits Times is flat at 2,333.

Asian markets are mixed in early morning trades.

Nikkei is flat at 9,967 even as Orix Corp and All Nippon Airways slips on probable public share offerings news. The Taiwan Weighted has added 67 points (1%) to 6,499. The Seoul Composite is up 12 points at 1,402.

However, the Straits Times has slipped 10 points to 2,323. The Shanghai Composite is unchanged at 2,959.
