Asian markets end with losses

The Hang Seng nosedived 521 points (3%) to 17,538. The Nikkei plunged 277 points (3%) to 9,550.

The Shanghai Composite was down three points at 2,892.

The Straits Times dropped 35 points (1.5%) to 2,232 and the Seoul Composite slipped 39 points (3%) to 1,360.

The Taiwan Weighted Index shed 144 points (2%) to 6,197.

Asian markets are still trading in red.

The Hang Seng plunged 570 points (3%) to 17,489. The Nikkei has shed 281 points (3%) to 9,545.

The Shanghai Composite has dropped 24 points to 2,872.

The Straits Times has declined 36 points (1.6%) to 2,231.

The Seoul Composite has fallen 35 points (2.5%) to 1,364 and the Taiwan Weighted Index has slumped 129 points (2%) to 6,212

Asian markets are in the red this morning on weak global cues.

The NIkkei has slumped 303 points (3%) to 9,523 as rising Yen against $ gave rise to fresh worries about the economy. The Hang Seng has plunged 621 points (3.5%) to 17,438.

The Seoul Composite has shed 37 points (2.5%) to 1,362. The Straits Times and the Taiwan Composite have dropped 2% each to 2,224 and 6,228, respectively. The Shanghai Composite has slipped 40 points (1.5%) to 2,856.
