| Asian markets end in red; Shanghai tumbles 4% |

Asian markets ended in the negative terrian today.
The Hang Seng shed 352 points (1.7%) at 19,954. The Nikkei declined 81 points to 10,204.
The Shanghai Composite index tumbled 125 points (4.3%) to 2,786.
The Straits Times plunged 42 points (1.6%) to 2,526. The Seoul Composite and the Taiwan Weighted indices ended nearly flat at 1,546 and 6,789, respectively.

The Asian markets have opened on a negative note.
The Hang Seng has dropped 63 points to 20,243. The Nikkei has slipped 24 points to 10,260.
The Shanghai Composite is marginally down at 2,907.
The Straits Times is down eight points at 2,559.
The Seoul Composite is up six points at 1,556 and the Taiwan Weighted Index has advanced 26 points to 6,815.
