Asian markets rally; Shanghai Composite up 3%

The Asian markets ended on an extremely strong note. The Hang Seng advanced 391 points or 2% to 22,944.

The Nikkei soared 21 points to 9,791. The Shanghai Composite Index zoomed 87 points or around 3% to 3,275.

The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted Index rallied around 2% each to 2,780 and 7,793, respectively.

The Seoul Composite Index was up 1% at 1,592.

Asian markets continue to remain mostly firm.

The Hang Seng has gained 330 points at 22,884. The Shanghai Composite has advanced 72 points to 3,260.

The Straits Times has rallied 47 points to 2,775. The Taiwan Weighted index has surged 127 points to 7,793, and the Seoul Composite index has added 47 points to 1,589.

The Nikkei, however, is flat at 9,773, up three points.

The Asian markets have opened on a positive note. The Hang Seng has soared 322 points or 1.5% each. The Nikkei is up 12 points at 9,783.

The Shanghai Composite Index has added 59 points or 2% at 3,247.

The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted Index are up 1% each at 2,762 and  7,745, respectively.

The Seoul Composite Index on the other hand is flat at 1,574.
