Asian markets trade mixed

The Asian markets ended on a mixed note. The Hang Seng  has slipped 197 points to 22,643. The Nikkei has dropped 127 points (1%) to 9,549.

The Shanghai Composite added 17 points at 3,320.

The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite Index were up 1% each. The Taiwan Weighted Index was flat at 7,759.

The Asian markets continue to trade on a mixed note.

Hang Seng is quoting at 22,719.24, weaker by 121.18 points or 0.53%, Nikkei is at 9,515.71,lower by 161.09 points or 1.66%, and Taiwan Weighted is at 7,759.98, down 6.71 points or 0.09%.

Shanghai Composite is marginally lower by 0.85 points or 0.03% at 3,302.37.

On the other hand, Straits Times is quoting at 2,772.31, stronger by 27.27 points or 0.99% and Seoul Composite is at 1,624.15, higher by 20.18 points or 1.26%

The Asian markets have opened on a mixed note.

Hang Seng is quoting at 22,769.24, weaker by 71.09 points or 0.31%, and the Nikkei is at 9,584.01, lower by 92.79 points or 0.96%.

On the other hand, Straits Times is quoting at 2,768.69, stronger by 23.65 points or 0.86%,  Seoul Composite is at 1,621.17, higher by 17.2 points or 1.07% and Taiwan Weighted is at 7,779.54, up 12.85 points or 0.17%.     

Shanghai Composite is higher by 10.51 points or 0.32% at 3,313.74.
