Asian markets end mixed

Asian markets ended on a mixed note.

The Hang Seng rallied 316 points to 22,771. The Nikkei, however, declined 52 points to 9,498.

The Straits Times advanced 29 points to 2,791. The Shanghai Composite moved up 30 points to 3,339.

The Seoul Composite index was down two points at 1,619, while the Taiwan Weighted index added four points to 7,687.

Asian markets are trading on a listless note today.

The Hang Seng has moved up 123 points to 22,579. The Nikkei has slipped 52 points to 9,498.

The Straits Times has added 13 points to 2,775. The Shanghai Composite index is up seven points at 3,315.

The Taiwan Weighted index and the Seoul Composite index are flat around 7,687 and 1,618, respectively.

The Asian markets are trading in the green this morning.

Hang Seng is at 22,591.27, stronger by 135.43 points or 0.60%.

Straits Times is at 2,780.86, higher by 19.32 points or 0.70% and Taiwan is at 7,693.27, up 10.30 points or 0.13%. Shanghai Composite is quoting at 3,332.319, up 23.97 points or 0.72%.

Nikkei is the exception, quoting down 51.79 points or 0.54% at 9,497.68.
