Asian mkts end in green; Hang Seng rallies 631pts

The Asian markets ended the day in the positive territory, taking cues from the global markets.

The Hang Seng rallied 631 points (3.6%) to 17,885.

The Nikkei advanced 211 points (2.5%) to 9,262.

The Sanghai Composite added 645 points to 3,145.

The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted gained 43 points and 108 points each to 2,310 and 6,639, respectively.

The Seoul Composite was marginally up seven points to 1,385.

The Asian markets continue to soar on the back of hopes of improvement in the economic growth.

The Hang Seng has zoomed 406 points (2.5%) to 17,661.

The Nikkei has surged 183 points (2%) to 9,235.

The Shanghai Composite has advanced 56 points (2%) to 3,137.

The Taiwan Weighted index added 125 points (2%) at 6,653.

The Straits Times has moved up 38 points (1.5%) at 2,304 and the Seoul Composite has increased 17 points (1.5%) to 1,395.

The Asian stocks have today opened on a positive note.

The Hang Seng has advanced 355 points (2%) to 17,610.

The Nikkei has added 201 points (2%) to 9,251.

The Shanghai Composite has gained 46 points (1.5%) at 3,127.

The Straits Times has increased 33 points (1.5%) to 2,299.

The Seoul Composite is up eight points at 1,386 and the Taiwan Weighted index has moved up 52 points at 6,583.
