| Australia confirms 11 swine flu cases |

As many as 11 swine flu cases have been confirmed positive in Australia, including seven reported cases from Victoria, two from New South Wales and one each in Queensland and South Australia.
A 17-year-old boy from Melbourne became the latest victim of the disease, according to media reports.
Officials said the boy had not recently travelled overseas.
Victoria's acting chief health officer Rosemary Lester said the boy fell ill on Saturday and remained at home until he saw his doctor on Monday.
"By yesterday he was much better - and on the lower end of the infectious scale. However, he is now at home in quarantine with his family who have begun a course of anti-virals," Lester said adding that while the risk of infection was low, officials from the Department of Human Services were providing advice to the infected boy.
"Personal hygiene remains vital and every person can do their bit by following normal flu season hygiene procedures, such as regular handwashing, covering their nose and mouth if sneezing and coughing, and staying home if they are sick," she advised.
