After the Platina, Bajaj Auto launched another bike in the 100cc segment Discover DTS-Si and hopes that the fuel-efficient bike will be a hit with the cost-conscious customer. The Discover is priced at Rs40,000 ex-showroom in Kolkata, and offers a mileage of 80 kilometers to a litre under actual driving conditions, said a company release. Bajaj Auto Ltd currently enjoys a 9 per cent market share in the segment which is led by Hero Honda.
The company is a market leader in the 125 cc and 150 cc segments with 37 per cent and 43 per cent market shares respectively. The 100cc segment is the volume segment comprising nearly 55 per cent of the entire bike market.
