The 300 Mw Baspa hydro-power project in the tribal district of Kinnaur has resumed power generation, project sources said..
The project was shut down following heavy landslides which damaged the plant and machinery on January 19. The machines were repaired and cleaned by project engineers and power generation was resumed last evening after 103 days.
It has started generating 200 Mw of power and project authorities hope to increase it to 330 Mw during peak season this summer.
