BGR Energy Systems Limited, a Nellore, Andhra Pradesh-based company engaged in EPC and BOP (balance of plant) turnkey contracting for power projects and LSTK ( lump sum turnkey) contracts for oil and gas projects, has secured a turnkey contract from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) valued at Rs 27.14 crore). The company was successful against the only other qualified bidder – Larsen & Toubro – in this tender.
The contract, which envisages implementing 415V motor control centres (MCC) package for Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited, the 500Mw prototype fast breeder reactor project at Kalpakkam near Chennai, will be completed over 12 months. The scope of the contract includes supply of complete 415V MCC panels and associated automation systems for the 500Mw plant, BGR Energy said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) on Monday.
