BGR Energy will be the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor for this mega project.
With this new order, the company's order book has doubled to Rs 6,100 crore, including four ‘balance of plant' contracts of 500 Mw.
BG Raghupathy, chairman and managing director, told mediapersons here on Tuesday that the project was expected to be completed in 39 months. The project will have 400 and 200 kV gas-insulated substations (GIS), to be imported and used for the first time in the state.
The scope of project includes design, engineering, supply of boiler, steam turbine generator and complete balance of plant equipment inclusive of all mechanical, electrical instrumentation and control systems of civil, structural and architectural works necessary for putting into commercial operation on an EPC basis. |
